Claims
As Senior Wright has traditionally focused on some of the more high risk classes of insurance, we fully appreciate the impact a claim can have on a business. We also know how important it is for a policyholder to be able to rely on the assistance of their broker.
By maintaining excellent relations with the claims departments of the insurers we deal with we aim to ensure that claims are progressed in a thorough and satisfactory manner.
As well as our strong relations with insurers we also liase closely with their suppliers such as Loss Adjusters or Lawyers. We aim to ensure that the right specialist is appointed to act on a claim to ensure the right result is achieved for insured and insurer alike.
It is often the case with liability covers that a policyholder may feel a claim should be resisted when unfortunately the evidence and legislation argues against this. While we do not have a defeatist approach we are aware of the difficulties that can arise in defending certain claims. In these circumstances we will always seek to have the situation fully explained to the insured.
While claim forms are still used and available for download, we find that an email is usually sufficient to notify a matter and therefore save the insured the inconvenience of completing yet more paperwork.
With Employers Liability cases we encourage notification of incidents by sending in the RIDDOR form. It is a statutory obligation to advise the Health & Safety Executive of any accident that causes a three day absence, copying us in on this form is little extra effort but ensures prompt dealing with a claim should it arise.
